What Causes Pain Under The Knee Cap Of The Right Leg?

I have upper tibial pain closer to the inside of the leg right under my knee cap. I have been icing and elevating it for a couple days now. I feel stiff walking and have sharp pain right on that spot previously mentioned. I can bend my leg and walk, but it hurts (mainly with walking). Is this a patellar tendon sprain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be because of any trauma causing knees joint locked. So, what you do is apply a pressure bandage. For applied area, massage with an analgesic ointment at night. Do rest as much as you can do.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ruby
