I had Bariatric surgery 3 years ago and last fall I started developing pain under my breast bone, then moved to just under my ribs on the left side, which then radiated into my back. I ve had numerous CT scans, MRI s, blood tests, and any other test known to Man! On May 1st my surgeon did an exploratory procedure, which confirmed that there was a Peterson s hernia, which he repaired. After 2 weeks the same symptoms started once again. Once again more tests, blood tests, scans along with an endoscopy and once again nothing was showing anything. Last week he was once again in the OR and checking if there was another hernia. He stated that he had checked the whole small intestine and found another hernia. Before closing me up he checked the complete small & large intestine for any further problems, which there were none. He did find a distended colon and suggested that maybe I should see a gastroenterologist regarding this colon. In your opinion could this be causing more issues?
