What Causes Pain Right Between The Rib Cage And Breast Bone?

I have a weird pain right between ribcage but below breast bone. I've had it on and off over a week. It's not terrible pain just constant. I can't explain the feeling but sometimes burping makes it feel a little better but it doesn't completely go away.

Plan of treatment : Conservative

All the symptoms you have mentioned suggest the possibility of a common condition called "costochondritis".It is nothing but inflammation of your ribs and connecting cartilage.
I suggest you to consult a general physician and get the following things done.
You have to undergo a physical examination to confirm the diagnosis.Your might do X-ray chest and an ECG to make sure that you don’t have coronary artery disease which also cause similar symptoms.
Treatment is mainly conservative by using analgesics like NSAIDs and in extreme cases narcotics.If the pain is severe and does not respond to drugs you need oral steroids or injection of a steroid into the area involved.
