on my left foot on the little toe side I have a sharp stabbing pain from the bottom to the side and on to the top. had it xrayed no broken bones. it is extrememly painful and I haven t been able to walk on it thus missing work they gave me prednisone and said I have gout. is their a joint on the little toe side that could cause this pain and be gout. I have finished the medicine and it still hurts. is it possible to be gout. it is swollen approx. 1/2 way between the little toe and the heel looks like a knot.
it can be fungal infection like tenia pedis or painful corn. get it examined by surgeon for proper diagnosis so that treatment can be recomanded. for corn use corn cap and teniaderm drop between the fingers. maintain hygiene and sanitation.
