What Causes Pain On Right Side Of The Bottom Jawline?

I have a horrible pain in the bottom right side of the jawline. There is a knot along the jawline as well. I can't sleep because of the pain. I just got done vomiting because of it making me sick to my stomach. The whole right side of my face hurts. The pain is so bad it's bothering my eyes. Could there be an abscess forming or already there? I've drowned my mouth in orajel, I've taken ibuprofen and alive for the pain and nothing is helping.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Pain in right side of bottom jawline along with a knot along the jawline can be very much due to tooth abscess if you have an infected tooth in that area..
The knot can be formed due to pus formation below the root tips of the tooth..
There can also be swollen lymph nodes due to infection..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get a clinical examination done.
An IOPAR [x-ray] will be advised to you for ruling out the exact cause for pain and swelling.
In case if there is an abscessed tooth then Root canal treatment will be done under cover of antibiotics and painkillers.
If tooth is grossly damaged due to infection then removal of tooth has to be done..
For now you can take stronger painkillers like Tramadol or Ketorolac for pain relief.
Do cool compresses over the jaw.

Hope you get well soon..

Regards.
