What Causes Pain Near The Bladder Incision Site?

Last Wednesday I had bladder surgery to remove an extra bladder, and was in recovery 3 days with extra water put into my blood, and had a bed cathater bag. They sent me home with a leg bag (500 units) and I emptied it and went to bed. I woke up 3 hours later the leg bag was so full it was about to burst and there was as sharp pain below and 2 1/2 to the left of my bladder incision; like my bladder had streached and injured something left of my bladder. After 4 days I still have that sharp pain. What organ could have been injured?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is difficult to say if there is any organ injury, I would say that it is unlikely. If the pain gets worse, I recommend you to see a doctor. If the urine in the bag looks fine and the pain subsides, then you're good.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
