Hi As you informed you have pain left side of chest and shortness of breath on exertion. It is not clear whether you are having high blood pressure and/or diabetes. But pain chest ,dyspnoea on exertion and radiation of pain may be due to angina ( reduced oxygen to heart ).First of all we have to rule out ischemic heart disease. So please consult your family physician or a physician .He may order an ECG or other tests to confirm the diagnosis and he advises you accordingly.
Hope this answers your query.
