General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. pain at the tip is may be due to urethritis or infection of the tip or urinary tube. what you are taking acts like diluent to urine and helps mostly if infection is upwards. in this situation i would suggest you to do a urine microscopy test and if urine shows signs of infection then you need to take antibiotics like ofloxacin, amoxicillin. tablet paracetamol one tab three times a day you can take to decrease pain for 3 days. urinary infections are more common in women as urethral opening, vaginal opening and anus lies near. cleaning and hygiene is utmost in prevention.
i hope i answered your concern
regards.
