What Causes Pain In Upper Abdomen And Nausea After Kidney Stone Removal?

Apart from subtotal thyroidectomy 12 years ago and last month kidney stones (7mm and 8mm requiring two uteroscopy in one month)I have no other conditions and my scans prior to surgery were not showing anything other than three kidney stones one lodged in distal ureter 8mm in L kidney which by the time of surgery had lodged in distal ureter and 2mm in R kidney -three days post last kidey stone removal I developed pain in my stomach and a choking feeling in my neck and shoulder pain. ER doctor checked heart, liver, gall bladder with portable scanner and did blood work. He said i have reflux probably caused by pain medication during stone episodes. I am on a PPI for past five days (40mg one day) but this has not fully addressed the problem. What else could it be or do I need to wait longer fror the medication to work. I have pain in my upper midle of abdomen near sternum, feeling nausea and still and occassional twinges in my bladder (had a 2mm stone in the other kidney but the ER doctor could not find this with his scanner- said that it might have moved. Also I should be able to pass this one out if that is the case - Im female 46 yrs 165 cm and 58kg.
