What Causes Pain In Throat While Yawning?

Hi, the past week I have noticed my throat hurting when I yawn or open my mouth widely, I have also felt as though there is a lot of mucus sticking to the back of my throat which is making me feel like I have to constantly swallow to wash it down but it doesn t go away! :( Can anyone help me? Notes: I have no other symptoms. I have just started a natural green herb tea detox called bootea don t know if that effects things at all.

Hello,

As you explain the situation these are signs of sinusitis the inflammation of the sinuses. Usually we recommend lavage with normal saline for the nose. However, it the secretions drain is a good think and probably they will stop soon. Ibuprofen might be used as a starting therapy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
