What Causes Pain In The Vagina During Intercourse?

Hi, ive been having lots of pain during sex with my partner, when i orgasm my coccyx spasms and im in lots of pain for about 10minutes after. Also i keep getting a dull pain in my vagina and it feels like something is pushing out. I have suffered with constipation all of my life and worry that the straining could have damaged my muscles inside? Could a prolapse be the cause of these symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.
Based on the description of your history, the symptoms you are experiencing could be due to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or due to prolapse.
Kindly take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen.
Consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
