What Causes Pain In The Upper Abdomen On The Right Side?

Hello I am a 40 year old white female who began almost 2 hrs ago having RUQ abd pain, dull ache rate 3/10 occasionally 4/10. then began vomiting several times to the point of dry heaving. I still have a dull ache there. 40 min ago began vomiting again several times to the point of dry heaving. I checked my temp when symptoms first started 100.0 tympanic and now 99.6 tympanic. No loose stools and my husband ate the exact same foods today. what is your advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to acute appendicitis.

I suggest you go to the emergency room for further evaluation.

An ultrasound and a complete blood count are needed to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
