What Causes Pain In The Testicles?

I have a problem of testicle pain. The pain is vague, i.e. I am unable to spot where the pain is actually. Sometimes it looks like sciatic pain, and sometime backache. I have been investigated for enlargement of prostate gland as well as X ray of spine, but both came normal. By the sonography of testicle my doctor said that I have bilateral varicoceles. But, still I sometimes have very acute pain. What is the remedy?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to varicocoele.

For further assessment, you can do Doppler ultrasound scan.

Usually it is harmless. But in case of discomfort you may require surgical intervention.

Along with that use scrotum support. Avoid strenuous activity

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
