What Causes Pain In The Right Shoulder?

For the past 2weeks my right shoulder has been hurting. It s to the point I know that I have to limit the pressure on this side when trying to tote something. I have not fallen, injured myself that I know of. Even if I sleep, it will wake me up thinking I am laying on it(most of the time I m not. I try to put a pillow under it late at night. As for during the day, I try to be careful if I lift or pull something with a whole lot of weight. I thought it was the seatbelt but, I realize the seat belt is on the opposite shoulders.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If your shoulder pains only when you do some activities like raising your arm, turning your neck then it might be due to some swelling of cartilages/tendonitis/bursitis. If your shoulder hurts even at rest then you need medical attention for further systemic evaluation whether the ailment is related to your abdomen or cardiac issues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
