What Causes Pain In The Right Scapula Radiating To The Upper Arm?
I have pain in my right scapula that extends [transferred to my right upper arm]. I have been on anti inflammatory and pain relief [panedeine forte], but it has not taken the pain away. It is worse when I,m standing or sitting. I have neck movement but when I look up I can feel tightness in my right pectoral and pain in my scapula, arm and closer to the spine.
Detailed Explanation, 1. I read your query and I am happy to help you. You mentioned that first pain started in scapula and extending to right upper arm. 2. This symptoms suggest that you are suffering from CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS 3. The greatest risk factor for cervical spondylosis is aging. This is due to overuse of neck in case of heavy lifting such as construction work or injury or ligament stiffness or bone spurs etc.. 4. You need to take X ray cervical spine AP and Lateral view to know more.
Hope this information helps
