What Causes Pain In The Right Armpit After Swimming?

Hi I went swimming then came home & noticed pain in my right armpit. Then I noticed a raised quarter sized red mark on my inner upper arm. Then within 2 days it has big bruising from my middle upper arm to past the inner elbow crease. Plus a red line very faint all the way 2 my thumb & a thin bruise line from the top of the bruise 2 my armpit. I did not get stung or hit my arm .....what could of caused this???

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to local allergies to any substance in water which you have encountered unknowingly. A dermatologist opinion and careful examination are recommended. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen and antihistamines like cetirizine can be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
