What Causes Pain In The Ribs After Recovering From An Injury?
Four months ago I broke three ribs on the left rib cage after falling down my apartment stairs. It took a month and a half to recover from the injury but recently I ve been having a lot of pain. I went to see my doctor and had some tests done on me and the results showed that the ribs never completely healed. How is it possible they never healed and is it safe to get surgery to fix the problem?
It will be an inflammatory pain. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.
Generally, rib fracture does not require surgical correction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
