What Causes Pain In The Rib Cage While Suffering From Chronic Cough?
I had a very bad cough about two and a half months ago which caused extreme pain on right side rib cage. I actually thought I had fractured a rib or pulled a muscle. I rested for a few days, didn t carry any heavy objects and took Aleve. The pain went away. I have since traveled by car for 6 hours at a time, plane rides for 6 hours at a time and have carried my grandkids. Normal life and no pain. All of a sudden after doing all of the above the pain is back. It only hurts when I move a certain way or if I push down on right rib cage. Could I possibly have Costochondritis!

chronic cough give strai to intercostal muscle and rib cage take benadryl cough syrup to control cough consult pulmunologist for clinical examination of lung fields and auscultation if there is bronchospasm syp bronchodil can be taken or tab deriphylin. there will be improvement.
