What Causes Pain In The Neck Radiating Towards Back Region?

I am 29 years old, male. I have been feeling pain in my sternum for well over 5 years; the pain sometimes radiate to my neck and back region. I ve taken a number of NSAIDs but all to no avail. I also did xray and nothing was discovered, b/p is 130/90. What can I do please? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think costochondritis is a condition that needs to be considered in your case. Bone scans of the upper thoracic region are necessary for this purpose. Discuss with your Doctor about getting evaluated further in this direction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
