What Causes Pain In The Neck After Sneezing?

I held in sneezes a week ago while trying to make it to a tissue felt massive pain in neck straight away. Pain keeps coming and going a week on I woke up this morning and it s really bad..... Feeling like lump??? my Adams appel is sore to touch.....tought all week I must of tore mucele not sure now

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the neck after sneezing. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like strep throat, viral pharyngitis, allergic rhinitis and due to poor and compromised immunity of body as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid intake of outside and spicy food. You should take soft and bland food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances. Keep sipping warm water and do saline gargles. Consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test along with blood test. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin at least for 5 day along with decongestant , expectorant and anti inflammatory or inhaler.
