What Causes Pain In The Mid Lower Back Radiating Towards Right Arm?

Hi, I am a male 56 years old and in good health. I have a pain in my right mid to lower back just below my back ribs. It hurts most when I try to extend my right arm to my left side. Pain is there but mild most of the time until I aggravate it by stretching my arm that way. Starting noticing most when I had a bowel movement and had to extend my arm.

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated by an Orthopaedician.

Some investigations like MRI and blood tests may be needed to plan your medical management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr R.A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
