What Causes Pain In The Lower Portion Of The Rib Cage?
When I touch or lay on my right side close to the lower portion of my rib cage it is very painful. It has been like this for 7 days now. I just noticed when I touch it there feels like what seems to be a very hard swollen vein from about half way up my rib cage to the bottom of my rib cage.

It could most probably due to muscle strain. Put ice on the painful area, take analgesics oral or topical, rest properly, it will hopefully go down.
