Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having pain in my lower chest under breast bone every 30 seconds and last for 5 seconds. It started when i hung my coat up 40 minutes ago. Comes on and then goes away. I just saw my internal medicine doctor yesterday and I m fine. I have afib but no attack for 2 years. I had hip replacement 2 months ago. Heart related or muscle?
If the pain is affected by movements or breathing very likely this a muscular pain and you may get ibuprofen and paracetamol to help with it. If the pain is not affected by movements or breathing, it still can be a muscular pain but it would be better to rule out other causes and might be safer to see a doctor, especially because you hav problems with the heart already (afib).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
