General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be neuropathic pain and nerve pain suppressants may be helpful. Taking OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful however gabapentin or other nerve pain suppressants can also be effective.

Neurological examination to locate the nerve involvement can help with diagnosis. X-ray of lumbar spine and hip is helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
