Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
good morning. the left side of my throat is painful. its now 2 years since i have been in that condition and now it hurts most. That same left side also releases saliva which irritates the tongue and teeth more often. this pain has also extended to the inside of my left ear as well as my left eye. talking is also hurting because of the pain. is there anything i can do about it?
As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the left side of the throat which could be due to lymph node enlargement or granular pharyngitis. It could be due to the impingement of the facial nerve. I would suggest you go for clinical assessment of the inner ear as the type of pain mentioned by you could be due to compression of nerve around the neck and behind the ear. The symptoms mentioned by you are not characteristic of any specific lesion thus clinical assessment is needed. You should visit the ENT specialist once and get it examined properly. Till then take the proper course of antibiotics to subside infection if any and drink plenty of fluids and water to keep yourself hydrated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
