What Causes Pain In The Left Leg From The Groin To The Knee?

Hi, my pain is on the left left leg. From my left groin area down the my left knee. It has been getting worse over the past three weeks. It started off just in the left groin, but has gone down into my left knee. It is more intense with long periods of standing or walking, lifting. I do feel a little ache on the lower left side of my back as well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Your symptoms suggest the problem to be at lumber spinal level.. causing nerve compression/ at sciatic notch of leg.
Please get MRI done to pin point the cause followed by needful treatment ( Oral anti inflammatory drugs, injectable steroids/ physiotherapy/ surgery in few cases)
Please consult an Orthopedic surgeon
Hope that solves your query.
take care.
