General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would suggest you to do a radiograph of both your feet and check with a orthopedician if you have a flat foot or an abnormality of your arch or a calcaneal spur. Based on the diagnosis you could proceed to resolve your issue. Putting ice does help to reduce the pain, I would advise you to visit the doctor before starting pain medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. James Devadoss
