What Causes Pain In The Left Arm And Shoulder After A Bypass Surgery?

Respected Sir, Good Morning, I am Kartik Prasad Bohidar,Male,Age 57 Yrs,I have undergone CABGX2 Open Heart Bypass Surgery at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital,Bengaluru, India on dt.03/03/2014.After my operation, inspite of regular practice of Physiotherapy excercise teaches by Dr.S.Dutta,I am Feeling Pain in my Left Arm & Left Shoulder.I am taking regularly all 4 Medicines i.e.1.Angizem CD 90mg. 2.Ecosprin 150mg. 3.Clopidogrel 75mg. and 4.Astin 20mg. Prescribed by Dr.P.V.Rao. Now My Blood Pressure is 174 / 84. Kindly Advice me How I will get rid of Left Arm Pain & Left Shoulder Pain and My Blood Pressure will be Normal. Good evening sir. I have gone through your history . chest pain. Radiating to arms and shoulders is usually due to heart problem. It is unusual to happen after a bypass surgery. You can try using sorbitrate and see if it works. Also you need a better control of blood pressure. 174/85 is still very high and that itself can cause the pain as well. You should revisit your doctor and explain him the problems once again and increase your blood pressure medicines. The aim is to keep it less than 140. Hope the information was useful
