i`m 70 overweight male my problem is right knee popping painful when standing up but settles out when i walk afternoons its painful on and off ,mornings sometimes pain sometimes not . afternoons are worse the right rear upper calf is painful at times along with the knee

Thanks for asking I understand your concern.
Your knee & calf seems to be due to over weight, degenerative arthritis( osteoarthritis ) of knee joint exaggerated by over weight & calcium & vitamin deficiency .
You need to control all three factors with help of a rheumatologist( medicines, physiotherapy). & dietitian
