What Causes Pain In The Heel And Arch Of The Foot While Walking?

Yesterday I felt a pain under my foot when walking. I feel I may have something under my skin because I walk barefoot a lot in the house and occasionally outside. It hurst when I touch it. There is a black spot under the skin and that is where the pain is....Should I see my Primary care first or should I see a podiatrist?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be a pain due to the lodgement of some foreign body while walking barefoot.

I suggest you take anti-inflammatory medication like brufen for five days. Avoid walking on barefoot.

You can Consult primary care physician doctor to get it checked and removal of the foreign agent if it is still there.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
