What Causes Pain In The Head And Stomach After Increasing Wellbutrin Dosage?

On Wednesday my primary care dr told me to increase my Wellbutrin from 150 to 300mg. I started taking the double dose on Thursday and I have taken it every day. I took it this morning and fell apart. My head and stomach started hurting badly and I have cried uncontrollably twice.

Wellbutrin is an antidepressant and it has different adverse effects like any other medicine.

As you said after increasing the dose as per your doctor’s advice you started feeling some adverse effects like headache and stomach ache.

If the pain is persistent and severe I would suggest you see your doctor right away.

If necessary your doctor will change the dose or advice you alternate medicine as he knows your medical condition and history regarding your illness.

So do not wait further, visit your doctor and follow his advice on better management of your illness.
