What Causes Pain In The Gums?

My gums onthe left upper and lower are peridiocally very painful; all the nerves are raw and very
painful. It comes and lasts about 30 minutes and them goes away. It seems like my nerves
are doing it. What could be causing this?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain periodic pain in gums that lasts for a half an hour and then subsides can be most probably related to nerve induced pain known as Trigeminal neuralgia..

It is a nerve disorder caused due to disturbance in the functioning of Trigeminal nerve and it's branches..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and investigation like MRI SCAN can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of neurotic pain, neurotic painkillers like Carbamazipine and Gabapantin can help in relieving pain as well as reduce the frequency of recurrence of pain .

Hope this information helps..
