What Causes Pain In The Groin?

Hi I am a 38 year old male, very sporty play footy and go to the gym 3 times a week. Havent had any problems with my groin. Then woke this morning with a sharp pain in my right groin. I was ok yesterday and had a rest day as well so didnt even go to the gym last night!!

This may be just a pulled muscle or a tendon and I dont think this is concerning. But in some cases it may be a beginning of inguinal hernia or formed urinary stone so if it recurs, you should do ultrasound or mri scan to rule these out. Also, you should rest and avoid excessive physical activity till pain persist. Also, warm compresses can be applied.
