Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I keep getting pains in my feet, I don t know if its dropped arches or I have gout....... I was off work a few days and it subsided. As soon as I started work it came back and gets worse as the day goes on. I have tried some insoles but always seem to make it worse. Any Ideas ?
as you mentioned you have pain in feet there can be a possibility of calcaneal spur or gout or may be a nerve entrapment in the spine which leads to abnormal sensation. To understand this the first thing to understand the nature of the pain. Second, an x-ray of feet and also the Urine test to check the calcaneal spur and gout. once this is ruled out an MRI of the lumbar spine will be of help. Due to many things coming into similar symptoms, one needs a thorough assessment of the feet. Chances of having a flat feet may also be the reason. so once the diagnosis is made then the treatment plan is initiated.
to solve the simple problem a broad based vision is needed by differential diagnosis and better rehabilitation.
