What Causes Pain In The Chest And Upper Arms?

Chest has been hurting from mid upper arm all around my arms chest and back Dr says my lungs sound okay but I have been through a lot in the past three months, blood infection, PIC line, on antibiotics for at least a year and had stage 4 throat cancer in 2011 Pain hurts worse when I inhale.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Possible causes of pain which is aggravating on deep inspiration may be due to pleurisy or superior sulcus tumor or neck muscles spasm with cervical spondylosis or brachial plexopathy etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Please get CT chest, neck X-ray, blood investigation ,nerve conduction study, blood sugar , thyroid status etc.
Use pain killer , tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
