General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is understandable to be concerned, smoking can affect the blood supply to the heart. Though it is quite possible that you may not be having a heart attack, it would be best to be seen by a doctor.

Chest pain needs to be investigated through examination. Certain blood tests need to be done to know if the heart is having issues and an EKG is also to be done.

Chest pain can come from any structure of the chest from the skin inwards such as skin, esophagus, muscles, bones, lungs, and heart.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
