What Causes Pain In The Belly Button And Breast Bone After Taking Nexium?
I have had acid reflux for about 10 yrs. I take Nexium for it, but for the last month I have had a dull pain between my belly button and breast bone. I have also had the same dull pain below my ribcage on my right side. I had an ultra sound to rule out gall bladder or appendix disrtess. Does acid reflux cause ulcers near the gastroesophogeal junction?

Yes, acid reflux can cause gastric ulcers.
You must avoid hot spicy food, tea, coffee,alcohol etc.
PPI eg Rabiprazole/Pantaprazole etc help.They should be taken in therapeutic doses- prefrably empty stomach.
