Hello,

Yes, there's is chronic pain after spine fusion surgery may be due to compression if spinal nerve roots or a muscle spasm or infection.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use cold and warm compression, local application of diclofenac gel if necessary.

If symptoms not improved please consult your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
