What Causes Pain In The Arm & Chest After A Flu Shot?
I had a flu shot today and a few hours later I got lightheaded and my other arm and chest started to hurt. I went to my car and lay down in the back seat and have been fine since, although tired. I had my blood pressure, heart and lungs checked when I was at the doctor s office in the morning. Are the symptoms I experienced a reaction to the flu shot?
Hi welcome to HCM. The symptoms in your case are most likely related to the adverse allergic reaction secondary to flu shot. Many of these reactions are short lived and blood parameters are short lived and would return to normalcy soon.In case of distressing symptoms drugs like corticosteroids and antihistaminics are needed.Have a baseline ecg and screening 2 dimensional echo to rule out organic heart disease.Consult your cardiologist for further help. Thank you.
