What Causes Pain In Roof Of Mouth?
my son is complaining of his mouth, the roof of his mouth is hurting. He seems to be in some pain, keeps waking up from his sleep. This started 3-4 hours ago, he had a snoball and a granola bar before settling down for bed. I see no signs of irritation, no swelling, etc.

Any mucosal erythema or mucosal abrasion? There can be a possibility of mucosal abrasion during snowball eating.
So, use salt water gargling, apply muco-pain gel. If symptoms not improved, please consult your ENT specialist so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
