What Causes Pain In Right Side Of Pelvic Area And Buttocks?

I fell from a standing position after getting out of bed and did not know my leg and foot were asleep. My left hip grazed the sideboard of the bed and was bruised. However, my right side is where I had pain in the pelvic area. It was not too bad at first and has gotten worse over time with pain in right buttock wrapping around to the front of my leg and down into the upper inner thigh groin area. There is also nerve pain shooting down my leg to my knee. I have had hip exrays and no fractures. After a month on Ibuprofens I am now in PT. I saw family doc and an orthopedic doc. No definitive answer from them. PT thinks I rotated my right hip backwards. My left hip is higher than right. But has always been like that. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having pain in your right gluteal region. Pain radiates to lower limb. It may be muscular pain as x ray hip joint are normal. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. You should also consider that you can have disc prolapse and radiating pain due to it. MRI of lumbar spine can be done to exclude it. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you a good health. Take care
