What Causes Pain In Right Side Of Head?

Hi I ve had a dull ache in the top right hand side of my head for around 3 days, it typically get more pronounced in the afternoons. This morning I have woke with pins and needles in my left fingers, its constant. what do you think this could be? I have a doctors appointment booked today. Regards

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in right side of head. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like trigeminal Neuralgia , temporal Arteritis or tension Headaches . It could also be migraine . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and order CT scan or MRI . Doctor may prescribe drug like vasograin , betablockers or furosemide . Doctor may also refer you to psychiatrists if headache is related to stress and anxiety . For now do mind relaxing exercises like meditation and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
