What Causes Pain In Right Arm,back And Elbow?

I HAVE PAIN IN MY RIGHT ARM- IN THE ARM PIT AREA AND TOWARD THE BACK AND IT RADIATES DOWN MY ARM TO MY ELBOW. I HAVE BEEN WAKING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH NUMBNESS IN MY HAND AND LOWER ARM. THERE IS ALSO NUMBNESS AT TIMES WHEN WRITING OR DRIVING THE CAR. THE PAIN IN MY WRIST IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WRIST. THE PAIN IN MY ARMPIT AREA SPIKES WHEN I TRY TO LIFT MY ARM OR ROTATE IT (ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT CONSISTENLY THE CASE)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

MRI of shoulder is recommended if there is any pathology can be find out easily. Pain killers if excessive pain and topical sprays over the counter can be used until then. Pranayama (Breathing technique) is good for pain too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
