What Causes Pain In Neck And Left Ear While On Plavix For Carotid Artery Stenosis?

I was diagnosed with carotid artery stenosis and a herniated area as well. I am on Plavix daily. Within the last month I have been experiencing pain in the neck area below my left ear and up toward the back of my ear. Is this something that I need to get checked out, or is it nothing to worry about?thanks,Robert

Pain on this area may be anxiety related or it may also be a muscular spasm.


Reconsider your bedding and the pillows to get comfortable sleep. Sometimes pain in neck area arise due to the uncomfortable sleep environment.

Take Excedrin for pain and apply Bengay Ultrastretch ointment on the area and massage it gently. It will help and soothe the area. Hot fomentation is also very helpful in such situations.

Avoid stress in life. Do a regular exercise and take plenty of clean drinking water.
