What Causes Pain In Lymph Nodes Behind The Ear And Under The Tongue?
At first I felt like I was coming down with a sickness and then after that was just throat pain and it wasn't like strep throat it's not pain on the inside of my throat is literally where my lymph nodes are to my ear and underneath my tongue on my right side I went to the hospital twice and now they say it's an infected lymph node and my saliva is really thick what could be the cause and treatment to this
As per your complain pain in lymph nodes near the ear, under tongue and throat seems to be most probably due swollen lymph nodes leading to Lymphadenopathy and as it is suspected to be infected lymph nodes, it can be due to Reactionary Lymphadenitis..
I would therefore suggest you to consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation done..
You will be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen along with cool compresses over the lymph node..
In case if it does not show signs of resolution in a week a biopsy and ultrasound has to be done for further confirmation of the cause so that appropriate treatment can be instilled..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
