What Causes Pain In Lungs While Breathing?

hi, i am finding it hard to breath as i lay in bed and my lungs hurt at the back when i breath, i have had this happen befor, i quit smoking over a year ago .
also i have like a feeling of something in my throat , i am on meds for underactive thiroid
please help as im worried thankyou

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should definitely rule out bronchitis (inflammation of airways) in your case.
So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Don't worry, you will be alright.
If PFT is normal then no need to worry. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
