My doctor has informed me I have a lung function of 62% post a whooping cough infection.
I am a smoker.
I am attempting to quit but am concerned about the constant lower lobe lung pain.
I have no other overt signs of COPD.
What is causing the pain? It is at a level where I pain relief is indicated.
Hi thanks for contacting health care magic. You gave not mentioned which report you have done.... You had history of whooping cough .For that did you use antibiotic ? You are Also smoker.... So you could have restrictive lung disease. It might be fibrotic disease....
To differentiate restrictive and obstructive disease spirometry done that is pulmonary function test....
Chest x ray also useful....
According to cause treatment guided...
Avoid smoking to prevent damage to lung tissue by elastase that is released by smoking....
Take care...
