What Causes Pain In Leg In Spite Of Lumbar Spine Surgery?

Dear Sir, I ve had sciatica and had lumber spine surgery twice in the last two year.,but the pain in my leg still persists.My doctor says the surgery has gone well and it s a matter of time for my pain to relieve and i just need to take NSAID,now I m seeking second opinion.Could you please advise me on what I should do?

It can take a long time for nerve repair to occur so it is possible that your symptoms will improve with time.

Continued physiotherapy and the use of the pain relief medication would help.

If you remain concerned, you would need to take your x rays and other images along with any notes that you may have to another surgeon for review.
