What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Lower Back Radiating Towards Thigh And Knee?

I have pain in my lower back, left side that radiates down my thigh to knee, back of calf and sometimes down to my ankle. If I stay still, I m OK, but if I go for my morning walk it acts up. Happened as a result of physical therapy for my hip. Hip is OK.
