What Causes Pain In Hand After An Injury?

HI I fell a couple of weeks ago and my hand smashed very hard on the concrete floor. I never went for an xray as I can use my hand fine but it does still hurt. From the looks of the anatomy explorer picture it could be the scaphoid bone. Could this be chipped and that might be what is still causing the pain?

Hi, thanks for posting the concern in HCM.
As you have posted, I can understand you had a wrist and hand injury after fall. Now, you have persistent pain.
The first thing is, you need an xray of the affected wrist ap/lat/scaphoid view. Often, scaphoid injury is not detected in xray. If nothing is detected, CT scan may be needed.
For the time being you may have Tab Combiflam one tab twice daily after meals and Tab Pantocid DSR one tab before breakfast for 2 days.
Please also consult a local orthopaedic consultant.
In case you have any other questions, please write back.
